"This review study was submitted to PROSPERO (CRD189432) and reported according to the Synthesis without meta-analysis in systematic reviews (SWiM) and EQUATOR Reporting Guidelines where applicable []. Two independent researchers (TC and GG) performed a systematic review of the MEDLINE and the Cochrane Library for relevant articles in humans, published from 1 December 2019 to 7 January 2021. Eligible studies had laboratory confirmed COVID-19 and a clinical and/or histological diagnosis of myocarditis by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), World Health Organisation (WHO, International Society and Federation of Cardiology (ISFC) criteria."
