From August 2016 to February 2021, hospitalized adult patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis were included in the study, with follow-up visits every 6 months or until death or liver transplantation. The study protocol was approved by Beijing Youan Hospital Ethics Committee [NO: 2016-13] in June 2016. All patients provided written informed consent.
