Evidence found in paper:

"All resting-state fMRI data were preprocessed in a combined SPM12 (http://www.fil.ion.ac.uk/spm/; Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging) and DPABI (Version: V4.3_200401; http://rfmri.org/dpabi) () analysis pipeline. We discarded the first 5 volumes to ensure MRI signal equilibrium. Since scan duration can influence resting-state connectivity estimates (), we discarded the last 312 volumes of resting-state data for participants in the LEMON dataset, resulting in a scan duration (7 min 56 s, 340 volumes) that was nearly identical to the scan duration of the SALD dataset (note: we repeated our dFC analyses using the entire time series, see Temporal properties section). Next, all images were corrected for head motion, spatial normalization using the Diffeomorphic Anatomical Registration Through Exponentiated Lie Algebra (DARTEL) template, after which the resulting images were smoothed (6 mm full-width at half-maximum Gaussian kernel). We discuss band-pass filtering as part of the dFC procedures reported below (see Computation of dFC section)."
