"We followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines to develop our search strategy. Searches of MEDLINE via Ovid, EMBASE via Ovid, the Cochrane Library, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Chinese CBM Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP, and Wanfang Database from inception to 13th July 2022 were conducted, using the following terms: inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, depression, depressive disorder, anxiety, anxiety disorder, and antidepressants. To get more original research, we did not restrict languages. Search strategies in every online database are introduced in the Supplemental Material. This study was not registered on PROSPERO, but we will complete the corresponding registration in future studies."
