A search strategy was implemented using electronic databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, and grey literature), which were systematically searched online to retrieve related articles. The literature search was conducted by using the key words “chronic kidney disease” OR (chronic renal failure) AND “Type 2 diabetes mellitus” OR “T2DM starting from May 30, 2018 to May 30, 2023 were included.
