"Declarations Ethics approval and consent to participateThe Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the Amsterdam UMC location VUmc formerly reviewed this study and has waived the need for additional ethics approval as the Dutch Medical Research Involving Humans Act (WMO) did not apply. This study was conducted in accordance with ethical relevant principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. All participants were informed about the purpose of the study and the way their data would be collected, analyzed, used and stored. They each provided written informed consent to participate in the study. To ensure confidentiality, the interview data were anonymized and coded. All participants received member checks for the focus groups, community of practice and the interviews they participated in and were given the opportunity to give feedback. Additionally, the healthcare organization where this study took place was informed about the publication of an academic article about the development of the Diversity Compass.
