"Declarations Ethics approval and consent to participateThe study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. The authors obtained ethics approval from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Ethics Review Committee, Ethics Review Number GHS-ERC: 056/04/23. Approval for data collection was also obtained from the management of the various participating hospitals, and informed consent was acquired from all nurses included in the study with the right to withdraw at any time with no negative consequences. Data collection in each hospital commenced after the management of the hospitals, and nurses signed the informed consent forms. Participation was voluntary and at the discretion of the nurses.
