"The inclusion criteria of this study were (a)patients (age ≥ 18 years) with enterostomy; (b)study design: randomized controlled trial(RCT) and quasi‐randomized controlled trials(quasi‐RCT); (c)interventions: the intervention group received any form of telemedicine intervention (e.g. mobile application, Internet, web‐based systems, teleconsultation and telemonitoring) and the control group received usual care(e.g. face‐to‐face stoma care management in a clinic/hospital or at home); (d) the studies with stoma‐related complications outcomes and related clinical profiles; (e)English or Chinese article. The exclusion criteria comprised the following: (a)repeated publication of literature; (b) unable to obtain the original text; (c)The authors did not respond or already could not have access to the dataset, the articles would be excluded as the category without detailed data; (d) data extraction difficulties or data incomplete literature. (d) The studies not belonging to enterostomy patients under the comparisons between telemedicine intervention and routine nursing intervention. The protocol of this systematic review and meta‐analysis was published on Prospero (CRD42023472793)."
