"Declarations Ethics approval and consent to participateThe studies involving human participants were reviewed and approved by the Ethical Committee of the University of Abomey-Calavi (EC approval 2019/1134/UAC/Benin). The Code of Ethics of the International Society of Ethnobiology (ISE, 2008) was strictly followed, and the purpose of the study was explained before conducting the interviews. Verbal informant consent was obtained from the participants, who were assured of confidentiality and anonymity. A cordial relationship was established with the informants at the beginning of the study.
