All paramedics gave oral informed consent to participate in the study, and the North Denmark Region, the Central Denmark Region, the Faroe Islands prehospital Medical Directors have the authority and did approve the study as a quality assurance project. According to Danish legislation, no approval from an ethics board or other agency is required for quality assurance projects [19].
