"The study was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration and approved by the Ethics Committee for Research in Humans and Biological Materials of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Banja Luka (no. 18/4.92/22). Informed consent was obtained from each participant involved in the study. This trial is registered at http://www.clinicaltrial.gov/ as NCT05416580. Conclusions: The eight-week UDCA administration showed beneficial effects on metabolic and oxidative stress parameters in patients with T2DM. Thus, UDCA could attenuate the progression and complications of diabetes and should be considered as an adjuvant to other diabetes treatment modalities. This trial is registered with NCT05416580."
